Chicken Hoisin Noodles

Chicken Serves 4

In collaboration with AHDB and British Muslim TV,  Shazans are taking you on another food adventure like no other! We’ll have incredible recipes to inspire your Ramadan, showcasing the use of British chicken, lamb, beef, dairy and cereals and special guests from within the Halal industry. Watch daily during Ramadan across all our social channels!

Ingredients 

  • 1 packet of egg noodles boiled
  • Half a bulb of garlic chopped small
  • Ginger julienne
  • 1 onion cut in to 8 equal parts
  • 1 mushroom punnet sliced
  • 1 green pepper cut in to equal parts
  • 2 spring onion stalks cut in 1 inch diagonals

Sauce

  • 2tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2bspn oyster sauce
  • Dash of rice vinegar
  • Dash of light oyster sauce
  • Dash of sircacha sauce

Marinade

  • 500g inner fillet cut in thin diagonals
  • 1 tbsp 5 spice
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • Dash of chilli flakes

Method

  1. Heat wok/skillet with oil
  2. Stir fry chicken on high heat till light brown and remove from pan
  3. Stir fry ginger/garlic
  4. Stir fry onion till translucent
  5. Stir fry mushrooms till softened
  6. Stir fry peppers
  7. Add chicken and stir fry
  8. Add sauce and stir fry
  9. Add boiled egg noodles and stir fry till noodles are coated with the sauce
  10. Add spring onions and serve
