Heat oil then add cinnamon, bay leaves, whole cumin, black peppers and cloves.
As soon as it sizzles add onions. Fry until golden brown.
Cut and add tomatoes, tomato paste, ginger, garlic, turmeric, garam masala, coriander and cumin powder, salt, and chilli powder.
Cook until oil separates from mixture.
Add meat and 1 cup of water. stir, cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender. If after 40 minutes the meat is not cooked another ¼ cup of water may be added and cook further until meat is cooked throughout.
Garnish with coriander and sliced green chilies.
Serve hot with naan or rice
