Terms and Conditions

Shazans are the UK’s leading brand for Halal meat operating in all major retailers. Our aim is to give you the opportunity to enjoy our range via a first-class home shopping experience. Please ensure that you have read the following terms and conditions carefully before purchasing any goods from our website. These terms and conditions outline what service and experience you can expect from us along with the terms on which you have agreed to be bound by when you place an order with us.

  1. Customer eligibility
    • You must be 18 years of age and in possession of a valid UK credit or debit card – note the business does not accept American Express cards.
    • The business reserves the right to decline any order at our discretion
    • By completing the ordering process you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions
  1. Online ordering
    • On completion of an order we will confirm same by sending an email to the address you provided. This confirmatory email will list products, prices, quantities, delivery (or collection) location and timing. Please be aware that this does not represent a binding contract or acceptance by us; this will only arise when the delivery has been completed.
    • Should you not receive a confirmatory email (either through an incorrect email address being entered or other reason) then the responsibility lies with yourself to resolve or contact us directly.
  1. Cancellation or amendments to orders
    • Any cancellation of an order must be sent to our customer service email (QurbaniHelpline@1StopHalal.co.uk) within 24 hours of the original order. For religious festival orders (i.e. Qurbani) this will be before the festival cut-off date.
    • Any amendment to an order must also be communicated to us by contacting our customer service email (QurbaniHelpline@1StopHalal.co.uk)
  1. Price and delivery
    • The price of the goods purchased will be as quoted on the website at the time you confirm your purchase by selecting “checkout”. These prices will be inclusive of VAT and/or any other taxes if applicable at the time of ordering.
    • Should your purchase not be via collection from one of our in-store counters and instead is to be delivered to a place of your choice a delivery charge may be levied. This delivery charge will be clearly highlighted at the time of checkout.
    • Should you require an amendment to the quantity of goods ordered and this is communicated to us before the cut-off time then all prices will be honoured. Should you be adding new lines to your order then the price quoted will be that available on the day of ordering. Any delivery charge will be amended accordingly
    • The total cost of your order, including any delivery or special packaging requirements, will be taken from your debit or credit card account at the time you place the order.
  1. Delivery
    • The Company will endeavour to make available by collection (or delivery) at the time agree when you placed your order online.
    • Should the products be required to be delivered to your home address (or other address nominated by you at the time of placing your order) then this will be made on the basis of a signature being required as proof of delivery.
    • In the event that nobody is available to take delivery and sign for receipt of the goods at the address you provided or you have asked us to leave the goods unattended then the business will not accept any claim for non-delivery and will dismiss any liability or consequence of the goods being left unattended. (This includes quality, tampering, theft or contamination howsoever caused). Note that given the goods are likely to be fresh and perishable it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that someone is present to receive the delivery.
    • Subsequent to the above clause and the delivery is refused or not accepted at the address provided the business cannot take responsibility for this and will not offer a replacement or refund.
    • Occasionally events outside of our control (e.g. – extreme weather) may mean that we are unable to deliver your order at the time and place agreed. Should this arise then we will contact you as early as is practicable to agree an alternative delivery time. Should this not be possible then our liability to you will be limited to the price and delivery cost of the goods ordered.
  1. Customer satisfaction
    • Our objective is to provide you with a first-class online purchasing experience, wholesome, high quality halal food and will guarantee the quality and provenance of the goods provided. It is your responsibility to inspect the goods upon receipt and in the event of any issues on service, quality or quantity let us know promptly in writing (or telephone) via the “contact us” section of the website.
    • We would aim to deal with any issues on service within 48 hours of receiving your complaint via our customer service team
    • Any complaints on quality will be reviewed by our QA department and we would ask you either to retain the product to enable a thorough investigation or photograph the offending item. We will aim to conclude our investigations with 72 hours of the receipt of your claim.
    • Given the fresh and perishable nature of our product we are unable to accept the return of goods sold to you, however, at our discretion, we may offer a full refund or vouchers to the value of the items in question, within 7 days of such a complaint being received.
  1. Exclusions to our liability
    • We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, damages and/or loss of profit arising from the supply of our goods to you.
    • Nothing in these terms and conditions shall in any way limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our actions, omissions or negligence nor limit any legal rights you have as a consumer.
    • Some of our products may contain traces of nuts and/or other allergens from time to time. Should this be the case this will be clearly highlighted on our website but it is your responsibility to ensure that you have read this information. Should you require any further information on allergens then please contact us.
    • The goods are sold to you on the basis that you’re a consumer. As such the business will not be held liable for any losses, claims or other issues associated with the onward selling or further distribution as part of a business or commercial venture
    • We shall not be liable for goods once thy have been delivered to the address (or secure place) confirmed in your order
    • If the goods are delivered then the packaging provided will be designed to ensure that they reach you in perfect condition but it is your responsibility to ensure that all perishable goods are refrigerated as soon as possible after receipt. Further to this clause, if you or a third party moves, transports or delivers the goods to another address after our delivery has been completed we shall not be liable for any subsequent claims and or deterioration resulting from that action.
    • It is our intention to ensure that our website is secure, error free and uninterrupted but given the nature of the technology we are not able to guarantee this. There may be occasions where access is suspended or restricted so that repairs, improvements and maintenance can be executed. The Company will endeavour to keep such issues to a minimum and restore access as soon as is possible.
    • Our business will not pass any of your contact details, secure information or any such other personal information to any other party whatsoever.
  1. General terms and conditions
    • These terms and conditions set out the entire agreement between us. Any failure or omission to enforce any our rights under this agreement shall not prejudice our entitlement to rely on or do so in the future.
    • We shall not be liable for any delays or failures to perform our obligations if such a delay or failure is caused by events out with of our reasonable control
    • The Company reserves the right to change our website, policies and terms and conditions at any time but any such change will not affect those terms and conditions prevailing at the time of your order.
    • Whilst we endeavour to take the utmost care to ensure that all of our product descriptions, images and process are accurate we do not accept any liability for any such accuracies or omissions. Colour and shape may vary from those shown on the website

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales and all parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in any dispute
